Perspectief 22 Odair Pedroso Mateus theological schools, individuals etc.; 2) the discussion of the text in Faith and Order Plenary Commission meeting held in Crete in 2009 as well as in the Faith and Order Standing Commission meetings held in Etchmiadzin in 2010, in Gazzada in 2011, and in Penang 2012; the analysis and interpretation of the report of an inter-orthodox consultation dedicated to the text, held in Cyprus in March 2011. I will briefly comment on these three points. 1. Responses to The Nature and Mission of the Church Concerning the responses to The Nature and Mission of the Church , the Secretariat of Faith and Order collected at least 46: 19 from Reformation, Evangelical and United churches churches, 2 from the Anglican Communion, 1 from an African Independent Church, 1 from the Roman Catholic Church, 9 from councils of churches, 5 from theological schools, and 9 from individuals from very different confessional backgrounds. No Orthodox church responded. Only one response was from the so-called “global south”. The responses were analysed, summarised, and presented to the Commission Ecclesiology group in June 2010 45 . Concerning the responses, it should be taken into account that following the WCC 2006 Assembly, a document on ecclesiology and unity was also submitted to the churches for study and response, which created parallel if not confusing processes 46 . 2. The Contribution of the 2009 Plenary Commission and of the 2011 Inter- Orthodox Consultation Secondly, in October 2009, Faith and Order held its Plenary Commission meeting in Crete under the theme “Called to be the One Church”. The meeting was primarily dedicated to ecclesiology 47 . One of the sections of the meeting focused exclusively on The Nature and William Henn, Natasha Klukach, Ulrike Link-Wieczoreck, Bishop Nathan Ohanisyan, Peter Fisher, and Cecil Mel Robeck. Staff: John Gibaut and Odair P. Mateus. 45 The Ecclesiology Group reported on 82 responses in 2010.
